Procurement Data Model

This module builds dashboard reporting specifically for contract and commercial data, distinct from supplier relationship reporting. Participants design contract status tracking that gives a clear, current view of every active contract's key dates and milestones, and build payment status visuals that track invoicing, certification, and payment cycles relevant to GCC contract administration. The module covers variation and claims reporting — visualising the volume, value, and status of contract changes and claims across a portfolio — and risk indicator dashboards that flag contracts showing early signs of commercial distress. The module closes with obligations dashboarding: tracking contractual obligations and their due dates so that neither party's commitments are silently missed.
Supplier Dashboards
This module focuses on the reporting and visualisation techniques for supplier performance data — distinct from the supplier relationship governance processes covered in dedicated SRM training. Participants build vendor scorecard visuals that present delivery performance, quality, and compliance metrics in a consistent, comparable format across a supplier base. The module covers delivery performance tracking against committed dates, and non-conformance report (NCR) visualisation that makes quality trends visible rather than buried in individual incident records. The module closes with corrective action tracking dashboards: giving procurement and quality teams a clear, current view of open corrective actions, their owners, and their due dates across the supplier portfolio.
Executive Reporting
An executive procurement report is judged on whether it drives a decision, not on how much data it contains. This module builds executive reporting design skills specifically for procurement and commercial audiences. Participants design dashboard layouts that present spend, contract, and supplier status on a single, scannable view appropriate for steering committees and senior procurement leadership. The module covers commentary writing technique — pairing dashboard visuals with concise, plain-language explanation of what changed and why — and decisions-required framing: structuring reports so that executives are presented with clear choices rather than raw data requiring interpretation. The module closes with action tracking integration: ensuring executive reports connect directly to accountable follow-up rather than generating discussion without consequence.
Capstone Dashboard Brief
The programme closes with an applied capstone: participants create a complete procurement performance dashboard specification and management report for a realistic sample procurement portfolio, drawing on every skill built across the previous seven modules. Working from sample spend, contract, and supplier data, participants design a data model, build core procurement KPIs, complete a spend and category analysis, and assemble a dashboard specification with executive commentary and required-decision framing. Facilitator and peer feedback focuses on whether the finished specification would genuinely support procurement and commercial decision-making on a live GCC project — not just present data attractively.
